"Till the monster stirred, that demon, that fiend/Grendel who haunted the moors, the wild/Marshes, and made his home in a hell./Not hell but hell on earth./He was spawned in that slime Of Cain, murderous creatures banished By God, punished forever for the crime Of Abel’s death."(101-108)

Goodbye.
Since Beowulf is finally dead, I have no reason left to write. He's here with me in hell. I knew he wouldn't ever make it into God's kingdom. He killed with a hate-filled heart, rejoiced at the sight of death, and was filled with pride. That's not what God intended, which is exactly why I do those things anyways! Beowulf tried so hard to do "good", though, but he did all the wrong things and turned into a jealous, greedy, evil, hateful guy, just like me! When Unferth called him a "boastful fool", he was right. He has no reason to boast; he's dead and in hell, who wants that? Before he died, lights shined down on him; he thought he was on his way up there, but he was sadly mistaken. I laugh at the way his pride does him so wrong. The best part is, I get to destory him over and over every day! He thought hell couldn't get any worse, but I made it fifty times worse for him! If only he would have never killed me; he wouldn't be in fiery pit of torturer and I could still be killing the people of Herot! He choose to kill me though, so now it's his turn!
